Job Summary

Villanova University is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Camera Shader to join our Athletics Game Production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and breaking down camera shading stations, as well as assisting with the setup of all camera equipment associated with a game production script.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Game Director and Building Engineer to set camera look and shading for all cameras, both robotic and manned, in coordination with the game script.
  • Assist with the selection, assembly, and positioning of equipment (cameras, stands) throughout the venue.
  • Maintain, clean, and test all equipment and cameras to ensure they are in good working order each day before the event starts.
  • Participate in pre-event coordination planning meetings.
  • Have a working knowledge of event production technology and ensure the safety of equipment at all times.
  • Respect standards and regulations regarding the safety of audio equipment and apply safe work methods.
  • Provide support and assistance to other venue areas as needed.
  • Perform additional duties and assist with special projects as assigned.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of related camera operations experience in live game production.
  • Proficient in using studio production equipment, including Hitachi Hd6000 and Hitachi RCP.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.
  • Must be a collaborative team player who works well with others in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Working Conditions

Available to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
