Villanova University seeks a highly qualified candidate for a tenure track position as an Assistant Professor in Astrophysics and Planetary Science. Located in a suburban setting just outside of Philadelphia, PA, our university offers a unique blend of academic rigor and community engagement.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate courses in their area of expertise, as well as other departmental courses, in a way that fosters connections across the discipline and the Villanova community. This includes developing and maintaining an active research program leading to external grant funding, professional conference contributions, and publication in the peer-reviewed literature.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this position, applicants must hold a PhD in Astrophysics or a related field. Post-doctoral experience in Astronomy, Astrophysics, Physics, or Planetary Science is preferred. Undergraduate teaching or public outreach experience is also desirable.
