Bike Tour Host Job Description

Trek Travel is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bike Tour Host to join our team in Italy. As a Bike Tour Host, you will be responsible for overseeing and hosting our Self-Guided trips in Tuscany and the Prosecco Region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Read and prepare trip itineraries and reports prior to trip start
  • Prepare all bikes according to Trek Travel standards
  • Charge electronic devices, such as Di2, lights, and e-bike batteries
  • Ensure RWGPS experience is updated for guests and they know how to use it
  • Greet guests on Day 1 at the trip hotel and ensure they have completed Waiver and Release of Liability forms
  • Conduct a safety and RWGPS talk, as well as a bike demo, before the first ride
  • Ensure bikes on departure day are mechanically sound and complete all trip end duties
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of bike mechanics
  • At least 23 years old
  • Reside in or around Tuscany in Val d'Orcia or Siena, Italy, or the Prosecco region in Asolo (Veneto region), Italy
  • Clear driving records
  • Current First Aid and CPR certifications
  • Proficient driving a standard transmission with a trailer
  • Available in the months of April – October
Compensation:

The host gets paid on the first and last day of each trip, for each prepped bike, and an hourly rate in case of an emergency. Gratuities are not recommended, but guests can tip the host at their discretion.
