Surveyor of Dimensional Control Expert

Are you an experienced surveyor looking for a challenging project? NES Fircroft is supporting an Engineering client who requires a Dimensional Control Surveyor to supervise the fabrication process for an offshore HVDC substation.

This role will be based in a fabrication yard, and will run for approximately three years. To succeed in this position, it would be advantageous to have experience with DIN EN 1090-2, DIN SPEC 18088-13, EN ISO 13920, NORSOK M-101, and IACS Rec. 47 specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise the application of dimensional control specifications
  • Survey compliance to verified design drawings and construction drawings
  • Verify the fulfillment of Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) related to dimensional control issues
  • Supervise Dimensional Control inspections made by SUB personnel
  • Audit Dimensional Control processes and procedures
  • Attend hold/witness/monitor points as required by ITPs
  • Verify documentation delivery before inspection calls
  • Closely monitor Non-conformance reports and follow up on their closure
  • Report findings detected during monitoring to relevant parties
  • Maintain open communication with DOSA Site Manager and Project DC Manager
  • Ensure proper calibration of measurement equipment
  • Update and revise documentation as necessary
  • Participate in Toolbox talks and contribute to discussions
  • Audit external subcontractors as required
