Job Description

The Sub Section Manager demonstrates accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. In this role, he/she will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional area(s) of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and technical direction for assigned program tasks and personnel
  • Support and recommend to section management
  • Maintain broad awareness of efforts within group to assure technical quality excellence, timely completion of work and reviews, appropriate use of resources, and responsiveness to customer/program needs
  • Facilitate communication of technical and business information between organizations and within work group
  • Communicate with management on technical, organizational, resource, and personnel issues
  • Define roles and responsibilities for assigned personnel
  • Conduct performance appraisals and participate in salary planning
  • Promote professional growth through proper mentorship and training assignment, timely performance feedback, coaching, and counseling
  • Ensure company compliance initiatives and training requirements are implemented within work group
  • Foster an inclusive and psychologically safe environment to identify and grow resources
Qualifications/Requirements
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Mechanical, Materials, or Aerospace Engineering preferred
  • Significant and relevant experience in System Dynamics, Aeromechanics, and Stress Methods
  • Ability to work successfully in a team environment
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate at a variety of levels, from detailed design reviews to high-level leadership reviews
  • Demonstrated proficiency in written, oral, and presentation skills
  • Fluency in Italian and English
  • Work Visa, according to local regulation, is required
