Operational Manager

The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the manufacturing process, ensuring efficient production, and maintaining high-quality standards.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in lean production methodologies and a proven track record of implementing lean principles to optimize production processes.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage and oversee daily production operations to ensure timely and efficient production of high-quality products in compliance with corporate guidelines.
- Record production processes and guidelines to obtain a consistent operational view of the business, and monitor defined KPIs to evaluate production performance.
- Contribute to solving efficiency and productivity issues across various departments by analyzing weekly results.
- Collaborate with the Supply Chain department to develop and ensure the execution of production schedules, ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Lead the implementation of lean manufacturing principles and practices across the production floor, utilizing lean tools such as 5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, and Kanban to streamline processes and eliminate waste.
- Conduct regular lean audits and training sessions for staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Monitor the schedule of production projects and report their status, suggesting projects that guarantee savings for the company based on targets defined by the Corporate and Plant Manager.
- Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to ensure products meet or exceed quality standards, implementing and maintaining quality control processes to minimize defects and ensure consistent product quality.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop production team members, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment, conducting performance evaluations, providing feedback, and implementing development plans to enhance team performance.
- Support Standard Work definition (standard costs) in collaboration with the Plant Manager and Plant Controller for operations and production processes.
- Evaluate new product insourcing or optimization strategies in collaboration with the engineering department, focusing on cost reduction.
