Director of Operations Europe

This is a key leadership role within Element Solutions Inc, responsible for overseeing the operations of our chemical production sites in Europe. The successful candidate will have a strong background in operations management, with experience in managing complex manufacturing processes and a proven track record of driving quality and efficiency improvements.
Key Responsibilities:- Site Management: Directly manage site managers within the region, ensuring alignment with company objectives and standards.
- Budget Management: Manage all manufacturing and logistics costs, capital expenditures, and working capital for the region, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
- Environmental, Health, and Safety: Ensure manufacturing facilities operate at the highest environmental, health, and safety standards, complying with laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Quality Management: Ensure facilities meet the highest quality standards, complying with relevant certifications and maintaining quality management systems.
- Supply Chain Management: Prepare and submit monthly reports on supply chain performance, collaborating closely with the supply chain team to optimize regional operations.
- Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of continuous improvement in quality performance, facilitating the sharing of lessons learned and optimizing operations.
- Degree qualification in a science or engineering discipline.
- 8 to 10 years of progressively responsible experience in the Operations field.
- Experience managing Quality in complex, varied manufacturing processes.
- Proven experience of Lean and Six Sigma Continuous Improvement techniques.
- A passion for Quality performance and Continuous Improvement.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
