Electrical Systems Engineer

Job Summary:
GRS Recruitment is seeking a skilled Electrical Systems Engineer to join their team in Nicosia. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and experience with designing and implementing integrated systems and software solutions for electric vehicle charging infrastructure.
Main Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with product vendors, software developers, and hardware engineers to design and architect charging systems that meet industry standards, customer requirements, and scalability needs.
- Assist in integration of charging management software and systems, ensuring seamless communication between charging stations, backend servers, and user interfaces while ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards and protocols.
- Integrate charging systems into existing network infrastructures, ensuring secure and reliable communication between charging stations, central management systems, and user-facing applications.
- Conduct comprehensive testing and validation of charging management systems to ensure stability, interoperability, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Implement monitoring systems to identify faults in charging infrastructure, develop strategies for remote troubleshooting, and collaborate with field technicians for on-site support when necessary.
- Address and implement robust security measures to protect charging infrastructure against potential cyber threats and ensure the privacy of user data.
- Stay updated with the latest electronic vehicles charging technologies, trends, and industry advancements. Propose and implement innovative solutions to improve the efficiency, performance, and user experience of the charging management systems.
- Create detailed technical documentation, including system specifications, integration guides, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, hardware engineering, software development, and customer support, to ensure successful product development and deployment.
Candidate Profile:
- University degree in electrical/electronic/systems engineering, computer science, or related field
- Proficiency in software development and integration, API and middleware development
- Familiarity with networking concepts, communication protocols, and cloud-based technologies.
- At least 2 years of work experience in hardware/software engineering and integration
- Experience in customer-facing roles as well as initiating and leading meetings
- Proficiency in English and Greek languages (verbal and written)
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Solid problem-solving, attention to detail and analytical and numerical skills
- Strong team spirit as well as being self-driven
- Ability and interest to research and learn new skills
- Excellent knowledge of using Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint etc)
- Understanding of agile development methodologies and project management.
