Job Title: Senior Financial Controller

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Financial Controller to join our team in Bielefeld, Germany. As a key member of our European finance team, you will play a pivotal role in establishing our financial presence in Europe, taking charge of regional finances and ensuring alignment with our global financial strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Leadership: Spearhead the establishment of the European finance team and manage regional financial roles.
  • Financial Reporting: Ensure timely, accurate, and comprehensive financial reporting for the Europe region in accordance with local regulations, company standards, and International Financial Reporting Standards.
  • Internal Controls: Create and monitor company policies and internal controls to safeguard company assets and reduce fraud.
  • Strategic Financial Planning: Develop and implement financial strategies to support business growth in the Europe region, ensuring alignment with global financial objectives.
  • Cash Flow Management: Monitor and balance cash flows into and out of the business to meet obligations and optimize investment.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Oversee the budgeting and forecasting processes for the Europe region, ensuring cost controls and profit optimization.
  • Team Leadership: Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship to the expanding finance team in Europe.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Proven experience in a similar financial leadership role, preferably in the outdoor or retail industry.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and standards within the European Union.
  • IFRS proficiency is an advantage due to group reporting requirements.
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
