Job Overview

The FAO is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Officer (Legal Support) to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that procurement activities comply with the Organization's established policies, procedures, and rules.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, develop, and support all procurement and contractual aspects of significant complexity.
  • Advise requisitioning units on the full range of procurement issues, providing support and guidance at all stages of the procurement cycle.
  • Prepare solicitation processes, identify methods of solicitation, draft tendering documents, and distribute invitations to tender.
Requirements

To be considered for this position, candidates must have an advanced university degree in law and five years of professional legal experience in commercial law, including at least two years of relevant experience in public procurement in an international context.

Candidates should also possess working knowledge of English and intermediate knowledge of another FAO official language.
