Job DescriptionAmazon is seeking a skilled Safety Technician, Workplace Health to join its Prevention and Protection team.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct risk assessments and ensure the implementation of control measures until their completion.
- Prepare daily reports on internal metrics and report deviations.
- Analyze workplace safety data, including injury rates and near misses.
- Utilize knowledge of Amazon's regulations and procedures to perform auditing activities, advising employees and supervisors on safe working practices.
- Develop expertise in a specific area of competence while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to security protocols.
- Monitor the work environment, maintaining a high level of attention to safety requirements and Amazon's security procedures.
- Support incident investigations to determine root causes.
- Develop action plans to ensure continuous and sustained compliance with regulations.
- Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and flexibility in work schedules to ensure incident investigations are completed.
- Support the warehouse through the use of specific tools and EHS platforms.
- Support continuous learning on health and safety topics.
- ASPP qualification.
- Minimum 6 months to 1 year of experience in the safety sector (including internships).
- Alternatively, a high school diploma and at least 2 years of experience as an ASPP/RSPP in production, production, or warehouse environments.
- Ability to demonstrate understanding of relevant and essential safety regulations.
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work towards objectives and deadlines.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Minimum level of English A2.
- Proactivity and ability to use the Microsoft Office package and other infrastructure platforms.
- Qualification/experience in Lean, 5S, and Kaizen.
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly while working with new processes and procedures.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Flexibility and adaptability, working on shifts and meeting business needs.
- Ability to work in a team and contribute to a positive and stimulating environment.
- Enthusiasm and self-motivation every day.
- Knowledge or experience with Gensuite or other EHS applications.
- Fluent speaking and writing in Italian and English.
