About the Role

Hitachi Vantara Corporation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Solution Engineering Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading technical activities and ensuring the successful delivery of complex engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead technical activities, including identifying and analyzing requirements, defining architecture, and developing solutions.
  • Ensure conformity with requirements, quality, performance, and budget relevant to engineering packages.
  • Plan, control, and coordinate all technical activities, including configuration management and solution integrity.
  • Provide technical support for deployment, installation, and site acceptance activities.
  • Coordinate and communicate with various stakeholders, including customers, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Participate in program/project meetings and compile reports according to internal procedures.
  • Apply quality procedures and HSE procedures, and continually review the technical scope of work.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of system engineering discipline and processes.
  • Professional experience in managing customer and supplier relationships.
  • Capability of coordinating resources in an international context.
  • Fluency in Italian and English is mandatory.
  • Minimum 5 years proven experience in designing complex integrated transportation projects.
  • Availability to travel.
  • Experience in design, integration, and validation of communication systems, tramway signaling systems, video communication systems, security systems, SCADA, and environmental control systems.
Preferred Competencies
  • Basic knowledge of cybersecurity and information security.
  • Virtualized architectures.
