Key Responsibilities:
* Assist the Public Works Director in the day-to-day operations of the Public Works Department
* Monitor and evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of department service delivery methods and procedures
* Assess workload and support systems to identify opportunities for productivity improvements within the department
* Act on behalf of the Public Works Director in the resolution of departmental personnel matters
* Review and revise job descriptions, job announcements, and screen job applicants, while participating in the interview process

Education and Experience:
* Graduate from a four-year college or university with a degree in civil engineering
* A minimum of four (4) years of previous governmental experience, including the last two (2) years in a supervisory role or any equivalent combination of education and experience
* Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) standing required; must be Arizona registered or be able to obtain Arizona registration within a reasonable amount of time
