About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Global Legal Expert to join our team in Milan. As a key member of our legal department, you will be responsible for providing expert legal advice and support to internal stakeholders on a wide range of legal matters, including contract negotiations, regulatory compliance, intellectual property, employment law, and dispute resolution.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert legal advice and support to internal stakeholders on a wide range of legal matters, including but not limited to contract negotiations, regulatory compliance, intellectual property, employment law, and dispute resolution.
  • Represent the organization to minimize legal, compliance, and regulatory risk by resolving issues and ensuring adherence to business and legal standards.
  • Draft, review, and approve policies, procedures, contracts, and related documents for business operations.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Develop, implement, and provide reporting on a variety of legal, compliance, regulatory, and contractual matters.
  • Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that may impact the organization and provide proactive advice and recommendations.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need a Master's Degree in Law and at least 5 years' of relevant experience in a reputable law firm or in-house legal department. Previous international working experience in a similar role would be considered a plus, especially if related to the Eastern Mediterranean region. You will also need strong knowledge of Insurance-specific laws and regulations, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Salary:

The estimated salary for this role is €80,000 - €120,000 per year, depending on experience.

We offer a hybrid work model, which includes the flexibility of working remotely and the collaboration, connections, and professional development benefits of working together in the office. All IT001 Marsh Spa colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week. Office-based teams will identify at least one "anchor day" per week on which their full team will be together in person.

Location:

The role is based in Milan, Italy, and you will be expected to work in our office for at least three days per week.

Language:

The primary language of the role is English, and you will be expected to have excellent written and verbal skills in this language. Knowledge of Italian and other languages, such as Arabic, Turkish, or Hebrew, would be considered a plus.
