Job Title: Internal Auditor

FAO is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Internal Auditor to join its team in Rome, Italy. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting audits and providing assurance on the effectiveness of FAO's programs and operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and conduct audits to ensure compliance with FAO's policies and procedures
  • Identify and assess risks to FAO's programs and operations
  • Develop and implement audit plans to address identified risks
  • Conduct interviews and gather information to support audit findings
  • Prepare and present audit reports to senior management and the Oversight Advisory Committee
Requirements:
  • Advanced university degree in audit, management, business, or a related field
  • Three years of relevant experience in internal auditing or a related field
  • Working knowledge of English and proficiency in another FAO official language
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
