Job Summary

The Senior Project Manager will oversee all phases of project development from inception to completion, ensuring timely and successful delivery of commercialized products. This role will lead a cross-functional core team on high-visibility product development programs, managing critical strategic imperatives with global scope and direct visibility to senior management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute project development plans according to STERIS procedures and standards.
  • Lead team in developing solutions to meet business, customer, and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate technical discussions and reviews to expedite solutions and implementation.
  • Collaborate with engineering functions, Quality, Regulatory, and Marketing for coordination of project activities and deliverables.
  • Manage external contract engineers assigned to project.
  • Review and refine estimates for scheduled releases.
  • Identify resources needed to successfully complete activities.
  • Review issues with project team to assess risk and prioritize.
  • Assess scope of open issues and assign to project team members as appropriate.
  • Identify and track key performance metrics for reporting and data-driven decision-making.
  • Oversee delivery of development solutions and transfer of design to production.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering General or Engineering Management.
  • Experience in the design and development of systems.
  • Experience leading development projects.
  • Demonstrated leader and/or technical expert within a development organization.
  • Experience leading teams in the development and delivery of complex solutions.
  • Strong understanding of effort and skill set required to define, implement, and verify applications.
  • Experience in the tasks and technical risks in the development of applications.
  • Knowledge of typical documentation and deliverables for complex systems.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional team player and adept with conflict management.
  • Ability to support multiple projects is desirable.
  • Knowledge of English Language (minimum B2).
