Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Junior System Administrator Linux to join our client's team in a dynamic environment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the installation, administration, and management of operating systems and hardware on servers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, and manage operating systems and hardware on servers, including the evaluation and installation of patches and the resolution of software-related problems.
  • Administer and operate VMWARE virtual environments, including the creation and configuration of VMs, VM tuning, ESXi configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Administer and operate OpenStack cloud environments, including the creation and configuration of VMs, VM tuning, and the evaluation and installation of patches.
  • Administer and operate Kubernetes environments.
  • Plan and perform procedures related to systems management, including documentation, inventory assessment, and other procedures.
  • Monitor operated/administered environments and make recommendations relevant to system security, computer system performance, disk and other components utilization.
  • Monitor systems and applications performances to track operating efficiency.
  • Test and implement technical solutions and provide strong operational support on virtualization architectures.
  • Work with the team to automate management tasks, streamline processes, and perform standard administration functions as needed.
  • Conduct software and hardware evaluations, provide technical analysis, and implement systems to meet customer IT goals.
  • Report status and flag issues, especially in a proactive manner.
  • Participate in the On-Call service.
Requirements
  • At least a Secondary School diploma.
  • At least 2 years of proven experience in the field of system/infrastructure administration or having participated in specific master/training on the relevant field.
  • Good knowledge of Linux (RedHat based distributions, e.g. Centos, Red Hat) installation/administration and tuning.
  • Independent knowledge of Linux automation/DevOps (e.g. Scripting, Ansible, Python).
Desirable Skills
  • Knowledge of Grafana, OpenSearch, and/or Elastic STACK.
  • Mature experience/supported/worked on datacenter and complex IT environments and/or setting up Virtual environments both on Physical and Cloud Platforms.
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes virtual environment.
  • Knowledge of VMWare virtual environment.
  • Knowledge of VMware automation (e.g. scripting reporting and deployments).
  • Knowledge of OpenStack infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and related management/administration tools.
  • Knowledge of backup/restore technics/solution.
  • Knowledge of High Availability installation/administration and tuning.
  • Knowledge of network management, firewall, and security.
  • Knowledge of databases (Oracle/MySQL/Postgres).
  • Relevant certifications in the relevant technologies are a strong asset.
  • Good understanding of ITIL practices and processes.
Personal Skills
  • Good written and oral command of English (B1).
  • Capability of integration in an international/multicultural environment, rapid self-starting capability, and experience in team working are mandatory.
  • Capacity of achieving schedule and milestones.
  • Capacity of working under pressure.
