Global Procurement Opportunity

Reporting to the Sr Director of Procurement, this leadership role oversees global procurement of Molded Component spend, approximately $106+ million, with a supplier base of 190+. The successful candidate will lead and develop a team of 2 globally, driving strategic sourcing and spend management initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive strategic sourcing and spend management plans.
• Reduce supply base, minimize dependence on single/sole sourced suppliers, ensure continuity of supply, and achieve annual cost reductions.
• Establish and maintain long-term relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Develop and implement supplier relationship management and risk assessments, with effective risk mitigation plans.
• Make informed decisions regarding multi-million dollar contracts and agreements, as well as major policies.
• Deliver annual VIP (cost reductions) and PPV objectives at category and plant levels.
• Collaborate in a global cross-functional matrixed environment, influencing, negotiating, and managing stakeholder interests/expectations.
• Jointly address supplier quality issues with supplier quality teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree; MBA desirable. CPM preferred.
• Minimum 10 years' relevant business and people management experience in Procurement or Supply Chain discipline.
• Expertise and aptitude in packaging procurement, preferably in Pharma, Food, Medical Device.
• In-depth knowledge of complex pricing arrangements and supplier profitability.
• Strong ethical background.
• Seasoned negotiator with knowledge of cost tools such as material breakdown, benchmarking, value analysis, value engineering, complex RFQ's, and innovative purchasing tools.
• Strong project management skills to drive projects to closure.
• Knowledge of root cause analysis, problem solving, continuous improvement, corrective and preventative action, product quality assurance systems, and supplier performance development and evaluation is helpful.
• Travel of 10%-25% including global travel.
