About the Role

Avery Dennison is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in Cadorago. As a critical member of our distribution center, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal functionality of manufacturing equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform regular maintenance checks on manufacturing equipment, including pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical components.
  • Diagnose failures, replace defective components, and perform basic troubleshooting using standard equipment and detailed instructions.
  • Install functional and structural parts in devices or equipment.
  • Prepare new machines and production equipment for operation.
  • Follow a strict preventive maintenance schedule to lessen exposure to downtime-related repairs and maintenance.
  • Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, including inspections and repairs, for compliance and reference.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop and production floor.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations while performing maintenance tasks.
  • Provide training on basic maintenance procedures to other staff members.
  • Stay updated on advancements in manufacturing equipment technologies and maintenance practices.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Between 0-2 years of previous experience in maintenance, with demonstrated expertise in mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic repairs and maintenance.
  • Certifications in specialty areas such as machinery operation and maintenance are required.
  • Ability to acquire needed certifications or licenses within the specified period.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with team members.
  • Proficient mathematical aptitude for measurements and calculations related to equipment maintenance.
  • Mechanical/technical skills and aptitude to troubleshoot and repair machinery, including slitting and winding equipment, as well as expertise in pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Logical problem-solving skills to identify root causes of equipment malfunctions and implement effective solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey maintenance procedures, issues, and updates.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a highly participative work system, able to adapt to changing priorities and demands.
  • Ability to work independently while adhering to safety protocols and completing tasks in a timely manner.
  • Motivated towards productivity improvements, safety enhancements, and maintaining quality standards within the production environment.
