Position Overview:

Hotel Cipriani, a distinguished Belmond property, is in search of a talented Bar Manager to enhance guest experiences at Bar Gabbiano, a premier venue for social gatherings in Venice.

Reporting Structure:

The Bar Manager will report directly to the Executive Assistant Manager overseeing Food & Beverage operations, with a focus on the daily management of Bar Gabbiano, aiming to surpass targets related to guest satisfaction, quality standards, and financial performance.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of Venice's vibrant social landscape, having served as a Head Barman/Head Barlady or Bar Manager in a luxury hospitality setting for several years, preferably with international experience. Fluency in both Italian and English is essential, along with a genuine passion for the Food and Beverage sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all facets of bar operations, including staffing, scheduling, training, health and safety compliance, licensing, inventory management, supplier relations, menu innovation, and budgeting.
• Ensure the bar is structured and equipped to meet strategic objectives and performance targets.
• Identify and implement enhancements to improve performance in line with guest experience and quality assurance metrics.
• Revitalize the bar menu, honoring the hotel's heritage while innovating new beverage offerings.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the bar team to deliver outstanding guest service.
• Promote a culture of growth, development, and high performance within the bar department.
• Assist in the preparation of the bar's budget.
• Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Support various projects across the organization as needed.
• Maintain up-to-date licenses in accordance with current regulations.
• Adhere to safe working practices and report any incidents or hazards immediately.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a luxury bar environment as a Head Barman/Head Barlady or Bar Manager.
• International experience is preferred.
• Comprehensive knowledge of premium spirits and wines.
• Strong grasp of both classic and contemporary cocktail recipes and their histories.
• Exemplary people management skills to effectively lead and inspire the bar team.
• Positive, adaptable, and possessing strong communication abilities.
• Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.
• Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office tools.
• Fluent in both written and spoken Italian and English.
