About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled Electromechanical Engineer to join our R&D team at ABB Schweiz AG.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Document and report on work activities. Keep up-to-date with strategic plans and perform tasks in line with the current direction.
  • Contribute creative ideas to R&D projects and propose follow-up activities based on project results.
  • Stay updated on ABB products and technologies, and develop an understanding of technical drivers and customer value.
  • Provide consulting services to business operations and customers.
  • Collaborate with team members and offer assistance to colleagues to gain information and knowledge.
  • Understand the importance of intellectual property and grasp risk management in R&D projects.

What You'll Bring:

  • Highly skilled knowledge of electricity and its effects, mechanical/material engineering, and the electrical and/or mechanical market.
  • 0-3 years of experience in electromechanical engineering, preferably as a designer/engineer of electromechanical products.
  • Enhanced knowledge of 2D CAD and 3D CAD systems (preferably SolidWorks). Readability of simple electrical diagrams and capability of electrical/mechanical design solutions starting from plain white paper.
  • Innovative approach with strong written and spoken communication skills.
  • Degree in technical fields, preferably Electrical or Mechanical.
  • Proficiency in Italian and English, both written and spoken.
