ARO, a part of Ingersoll Rand since 1994, is a global leader in fluid management, established in 1930. We provide a comprehensive range of pumping solutions tailored for the chemical, life sciences, food & beverage, electronics, and industrial sectors.

Position Overview

The ARO business unit is in search of a product manager to join the global product management team, focusing on the management of the system components (accessory) portfolio, alongside some expanded category items aimed at light industrial markets.

This role entails direct responsibility for the breadth and profitability of the portfolio, collaborating with other product managers to enhance the system components range, thereby improving our overall customer offerings.

This position is particularly engaging due to its expansive boundaries, allowing for innovative thinking and ownership. The role grants the authority to experiment, learn quickly from failures, and develop numerous business cases annually. Additionally, there will be ample opportunities for strategic sourcing initiatives, partnerships, and potential mergers and acquisitions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee a portfolio that includes cost and margin analysis, pricing strategy leadership, value proposition development, and competitive positioning.
  • Manage the new product pipeline and lead new product development initiatives.
  • Drive lifecycle management for the portfolio, including regular performance evaluations, relaunch strategies, and product rationalization.
  • Collaborate with sales, channel leadership, and sales enablement to build product expertise and promote product adoption.
  • Develop and manage strategic plans, roadmaps, business cases, and value propositions.
  • Analyze market dynamics, technological advancements, competitive product developments, and other factors impacting the portfolio.
  • Handle transactional pricing requests while achieving or surpassing margin and price realization goals.
  • Conduct customer feedback activities to ascertain business, customer, and user requirements through account reviews, stakeholder interviews, and partner surveys, ensuring the representation of end customer needs in all business activities.
  • Collaborate with Demand Generation Marketing teams to create campaigns for respective products.
  • Lead strategic sourcing decisions and localization strategies.
  • Guide and influence cross-functional teams to implement product development, integration, and commercialization strategies to fulfill business objectives.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Technical, Business, Economics, or Engineering with relevant experience required; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience required, with a preference for experience in industrial B2B markets.
  • At least 2 years of demonstrated experience in customer engagement is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with phase-gate product development cycles and/or sourcing is advantageous.
  • Experience in a sales role or with sales channels is a plus.
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple projects and meet established timelines. Ability to persuade without formal authority.

Travel & Work Arrangements

  • This position can be remote, with a preference for candidates located in Europe or India.
  • Travel requirements are up to 20%.
