About the Role

Ferrero SpA is seeking a highly skilled Demand Planning Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our supply chain organization, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining accurate demand forecasts for our customers and products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain demand forecasts for multiple levels of aggregation and time horizons, incorporating business intelligence and forecast information from various sources.
  • Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, and prepare forecast data to develop statistical forecast models.
  • Track and analyze Forecast KPIs, including bias, accuracy, and forecast value add, to drive improvements.
  • Cleanse historical sales data to remove promotional impacts and anomalies, and/or supply issues.
  • Organize and chair monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings.
  • Coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model.
  • Interact with sales, marketing, and sales finance teams to understand demand forecast drivers.
  • Utilize a collaborative approach to obtain and ensure current and accurate information is used for demand forecasts.
  • Provide input to the Supply Planning organization in developing inventory strategies.
  • Closely coordinate and communicate customer action plans with supply planning.
  • Review sales plans, customer finance Budget Updates or Latest Estimates, and demand drivers.
  • Achieve consensus for operational demand forecasts through a collaborative planning process.
  • Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Result-oriented with strong ability to lead and manage projects from start to finish.
  • Knowledge of VMI best practices and Wholesale Distributors.
  • Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal, written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented self-starter with ability to take initiative and produce high-quality results.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products, primarily Excel.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and shift priorities quickly.
  • High tolerance for ambiguity.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Masters or certification preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in Demand Planning or at least 5 years' supply chain experience.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, with emphasis on Excel.
  • SAP experience.
