We are seeking a highly skilled Cell Design Specialist to join our R&D Department in Maranello, Italy. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge technology development for electrified vehicles.

Your Role

  • You will be responsible for designing electrical and mechanical components of battery cells, including overall architecture, components, and packaging.
  • Develop prototypes and test them to ensure cell performance meets expectations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure battery cells meet specific requirements for Ferrari applications.
  • Evaluate design changes' impact on cell performance and develop quantitative studies to optimize specifications.
  • Scale up cells from lab-scale to target size using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations regarding safety, environmental impact, and performance.

Requirements

  • Masters degree in Materials Science, Engineering, Design, or Mechanical Engineering with 3 years of experience in battery cell design.
  • Strong knowledge of cell design parameters, process limitations, and their impact on cell performance/behavior.
  • Proven experience with CAD software and other design tools.
  • Able to work in a dynamic environment, communicate effectively, and prioritize tasks.

Location and Contract

This position is based in Maranello, Italy, and is available as a permanent contract. Fluency in English is required; Italian language skills are an asset.
