We are working with a pharmaceutical company looking for a:
**CHC Growth Markets Director**
This role reports directly to the Chief Commercial Officer of the Cluster.

The main objective is to drive strategic initiatives, spearhead market penetration, and enhance consumer health outcomes in emerging markets by supporting country teams to develop superior planning and execution while building long-term in-market capability.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Build understanding of CHC business model, key drivers, and critical success factors across the region.
  • Support country teams in planning and executing CHC launches/key activities in line with global strategies.
  • Bring global marketing strategy, distribution strategy, detailing, key account management, and activation into one business proposition at a country level in coordination with Global function.
  • Lead regionally and support locally monitoring of market trends, competitive landscape, and consumer preferences to identify opportunities for new product development and portfolio expansion.
  • Ensure senior voice at country level to support CHC agenda while CHC country teams mature and get more experience.
  • Oversee on-the-job training and development of CHC sales & marketing teams in the countries.
  • Ensure oversight and interim support for selection of media and advertising agencies, media planning & negotiation, advertising development.
  • Act as regional representative towards and enabler of global functions such as Global Marketing and ComEx for the required CHC capabilities build up.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA is an advantage.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a managerial role within major Consumer Healthcare companies, ideally as Business Unit Head in a larger market.
  • Proven experience in an emerging market country (outside Western Europe, US).
  • Proven track record of at least 2-3 successful product launches.
  • In-depth knowledge of consumer healthcare market dynamics, including regulatory requirements, market trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Practical experience with relevant CHC skill set: Medical Marketing and detailing, Media Planning, Advertising Development, Trade Marketing, Trade and Consumer Promotion.
  • Understanding and experience with Qualitative and Quantitative research.
  • Strong leadership skills and analytical mindset.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

We estimate the salary range for this position to be around €80,000 - €120,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.

This role is based in Milan, Italy.
