Dainese, a global leader in protective equipment and garments for motorcycling and dynamic sports, is seeking a skilled Mechanical Designer to join its Helmets Research & Development Department. As a Mechanical Designer, you will be responsible for designing and engineering helmets, improving products, and ensuring smooth project transfers into production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and verify new helmet models and related prototypes.
- Design and develop helmet components using 3D design.
- Create 2D technical drawings.
- Collaborate with research teams to ensure quality aspects of raw materials and semi-finished products.
- Interface with the Supply Chain for prototype and sample development at internal and external production centers.
- Manage technical data sheets and verify prototypes and samples against company quality standards.
- Visit suppliers, including international ones, for operational checks.
- Interface with production sites for pilot-run and production launch phases.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Product Engineering.
- At least 5 years of work experience in structured contexts.
- Excellent knowledge of CAD Siemens NX and Office suite.
- Accurate and precise, with a problem-solving attitude and a result-oriented approach.
- Strong capability analysis and tolerance definition.
- Knowledge of thermoplastic material processing and tooling.
- Fluent in speaking English (B2/C1 level).
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Availability for business trips is required. Motorcycle driving license 'A' is a plus.
