Overview

The R&D Mechanical Engineer Intern will be joining our dynamic R&D engineering team at Agilent Technologies in Torino, Italy. This internship is aimed at deepening your knowledge on a specific accessory of our Turbo Molecular Pump (TMP): the vibration damper. The core of this internship will be the development of the theoretical model (simulation), followed by its tuning using experimental data with the final goal of validate the model.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and develop the theoretical model of a TMP's accessory starting from available technical literature and papers.
• Tune and validate the model using experimental data in collaboration with other R&D Engineers and determining if additional information is required.
• Perform modal analysis to support the development of the theoretical model.
• Interact and manage relationships between internal R&D teams and university officials to ensure effective collaboration and knowledge sharing.
• Document all outputs and record them in the system while ensuring that all results are well-documented and shared with the technical team.

Requirements

We are looking for an individual with a strong background in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, who is currently completing their final year of a Master's Degree. Additionally, a good level of English and proficiency in Italian are preferred. You should be proactive, organized, and eager to learn, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with various external and internal partners. You should be able to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a real 'can-do' attitude and curiosity, and an active approach to problem-solving. The ideal candidate should be passionate about making a significant impact in a world-class company and developing their skills in a growth-oriented and inclusive environment.
