Job Description Summary

The Site Engineering Lead plays a critical role in ensuring the optimal performance of production equipment, closely monitoring key parameters and implementing proactive and corrective measures to achieve the best possible production outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the reliability and performance of production equipment, particularly the cyclotron, transfer system, synthesis modules, and dispensing robot.
  • Collaborate daily with the Country Engineering Manager, Site Manager, and production team to discuss production results and report any difficulties or anomalies to Engineering & Service.
  • Develop and implement maintenance plans based on system parameters, equipment usage, and calendar schedules, as well as manage spare parts inventory and storage.
  • Manage on-call availability, working hours, radiation exposure, stress levels, and resource allocation for missions.
  • Alert the Country Engineering Manager of Italy and other relevant parties in case of difficulties.
  • Participate in training programs, including initial theoretical training, practical training, and annual refresher courses, and provide safety and technical training to Pharmacists, Maintenance Assistants, and Production Technicians.
  • Contribute to budget planning, execute confirmed budgets, and report periodically, alerting the Country Engineering Manager of Italy if budget extensions are required.
  • Take ownership of assigned Engineering and Service coordination tasks, respect agreed timelines, and alert the Country Engineering Manager of Italy in case of potential timeline risks.
Work Location:

Initially based in Meldola, with a future relocation to Ivrea.

Requirements:
  • Engineering or Scientific Degree.
  • Previous experience in an Engineering department within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Good knowledge of electrical and mechanical engineering.
  • Fluency in English and Italian.
