This role is responsible for ensuring the successful commissioning and start-up of projects, from pre-commissioning to performance testing. The Commissioning Manager will work closely with the Construction Manager and Project Management & Control Manager to develop and implement the commissioning strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and finalize the commissioning strategy, ensuring its implementation throughout the project life.
- Prepare and assure the quality of project deliverables, consistent with contract requirements.
- Ensure compliance with commissioning costs within the assigned budget.
- Participate in project review meetings, HAZOP studies, and constructability reviews.
- Interface with Engineering Departments, Client, and Vendors representatives.
- Finalize the organization chart and mobilization plan for personnel and vendors.
- Assign duties among discipline Superintendents and Supervisors.
- Coordinate all site activities, from pre-commissioning to performance testing.
- Propose corrective actions to overcome upset and delays at site.
- Organize technical training according to Department standards and Client requirements.
- Coordinate with the Project HSSE Manager for the Pre-Start Up HSSE Survey.
- Develop and foster working relationships with Client Project Management.
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in commissioning and start-up management, with a strong understanding of project management principles and practices.
