Environmental Compliance
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations and permits related to photovoltaic (PV) projects. This involves staying up-to-date with changing regulations and ensuring that all necessary permits are obtained before project commencement.

Environmental Impact Assessment
Conduct thorough environmental impact assessments (EIAs) and site evaluations for proposed PV projects, considering factors such as land use, biodiversity, water resources, and air quality. This helps identify potential environmental risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.

Permitting and Licensing
Manage the permitting process for PV projects, including the preparation and submission of permit applications, environmental impact statements, and other regulatory documents. This requires strong communication and project management skills to ensure timely and successful permitting.

Stakeholder Engagement
Engage with stakeholders including local communities, regulatory agencies, and environmental organizations to address concerns, gather feedback, and build positive relationships. This helps ensure that PV projects are developed and operated in a socially responsible and environmentally sustainable manner.

Sustainability Initiatives
Develop and implement sustainability initiatives for PV projects, including resource conservation, waste management, and carbon footprint reduction strategies. This helps reduce the environmental impact of PV projects and contributes to a more sustainable future.

Risk Management
Identify environmental risks and develop mitigation measures to minimize the impact of PV projects on the environment and surrounding communities. This requires a proactive and risk-aware approach to ensure the long-term sustainability of PV projects.

Environmental Monitoring
Establish environmental monitoring programs to track key indicators such as water quality, air emissions, and wildlife populations at PV project sites. This helps ensure that PV projects are operated in a responsible and environmentally sustainable manner.

Reporting and Documentation
Prepare environmental reports, documentation, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders, highlighting project milestones, compliance status, and environmental performance metrics. This helps ensure transparency and accountability in PV project development and operation.

Continuous Improvement
Stay informed about emerging environmental trends, technologies, and best practices in the PV industry, and recommend improvements to environmental management processes and procedures. This helps ensure that PV projects are developed and operated in a best-in-class manner.

Team Collaboration
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including project developers, engineers, and regulatory affairs specialists to integrate environmental considerations into all stages of PV project development and operation. This helps ensure that PV projects are developed and operated in a responsible and environmentally sustainable manner.

Requirements
Minimum 5 years of experience in environmental management, preferably within the photovoltaic industry. Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related field. Additional certifications in environmental management are preferred. In-depth knowledge of environmental regulations and permitting requirements relevant to PV projects. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex environmental issues and propose effective solutions. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders. Proficiency in environmental assessment tools, GIS software, and other relevant technical applications. Demonstrated project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship, with a passion for renewable energy and climate action. Willingness to travel to project sites and attend meetings with stakeholders as needed. Fluency in English and Italian both written and verbal, is required. Additional language skills are a plus.
