About the Role
To support the company's growth, VHIT's Purchasing Department is seeking an experienced professional to fill the role of Commodity Buyer.
As part of the team of buyers, you will:
- Manage the commodity of e-parts, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement.
- Support the Purchasing Project Manager & Supplier Quality Manager during new component development, collaborating to define the BID list and manage RFQs.
- Select suppliers based on Total Cost Ownership analysis, ensuring the best value for the company.
You will be the key point of contact for commercial, strategic communication, and escalation with Suppliers, including reporting to Management in dedicated Committees.
Responsibilities will include:
- Commodity or material field management, including suppliers strategy and scouting, negotiation, business bundling, award, orders, contracts, and supplier database management.
- Change Management ECR for purchased parts applicable for multiple projects and management of the Engineering Change Requests and introduction of Design-to-Cost ideas for new or series projects.
Requirements
Education: Electronic Engineering or related field.
Experience and Know How: 3 years of experience in the automotive industry or similar experience in large organizations and complex project environments.
Technical knowledge: Basic knowledge of powertrain components and understanding of main automotive industry production processes.
Personality: goal-orientation and self-driven with entrepreneurial mindset, strong communication and team working skills, and proactivity.
Language skills: Fluent English.
