About the Role

Hitachi Rail is seeking a highly motivated and experienced System RAMS Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our RAM department, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and availability of our railway systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the execution of the RAM Programme for railway systems, subsystems, and products, in accordance with applicable requirements, company guidelines, and standards.
  • Coordinate with prime contractors and subcontractors/vendors RAM staff to ensure seamless integration and compliance.
  • Produce RAM Analysis and RAM requirements verification to ensure design, installation, and commissioning meet RAM standards.
  • Verify and sign off design, installation, and commissioning of all systems/subsystems/products RAM-related requirements.
  • Support the Engineering/Product Development team in finalizing design to guarantee maximum reliability and availability in compliance with RAM standards.
  • Support the Commissioning Manager in identifying and prioritizing activities needed to guarantee minimum RAM performance of various technologies throughout commissioning phases.
  • Perform RAM governance activities, coordination of subsystems RAM referents for each technology involved in the project.
  • Contribute to the delivery of systems/subsystems/products in compliance with project/programme schedule and budget.
  • Report to the Project RAMS Manager or PM for status, deadline, schedule, and budget.
Requirements
  • 5-10 years of experience in RAMS.
  • Knowledge of International Standards applicable to Railway domain (e.g., EN 50126).
  • Background in Reliability Engineering in products/systems for industry (Railway, Aerospace, etc.).
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
  • Knowledge of Isograph Reliability Workbench Tool or equivalent.
  • Education/Qualifications: Technical Degree or Equivalent Technical Background.
  • Languages: English (spoken and written) proficiency. French or Spanish (spoken and written) knowledge is a plus.
