Primark is seeking a highly skilled Real Estate Expansion Manager to join its Property team in Milan Head Office.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and acquire suitable sites for new store openings in Italy, working closely with the Property Executive.
  • Manage Primark's existing property assets, ensuring timely completion of projects and adherence to budget.
  • Negotiate terms for new stores, instructing lawyers and liaising with project personnel.
  • Keep the property database system up to date, tracking lease changes and ensuring timely lease setup.
  • Manage lease extensions, rent reviews, and the existing portfolio.
  • Develop professional knowledge and expertise on property issues and changes in property law and planning policy.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget, assembling documents and managing progress through regular dialogue with stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in the retail/real estate industry, with an established network of landlord, developer, and agency contacts.
  • Good working knowledge of High Streets and Shopping Centres in Italy.
  • Financial and legal knowledge related to retail/real estate transactions.
  • Good English knowledge.
  • An excellent negotiator with broad experience in negotiating retail lease agreements.
  • A high energy, flexible, results-oriented, self-starting individual capable of quickly taking control of responsibilities.
  • Problem-solving and excellent organizing and planning skills, with the ability to coordinate and manage multiple projects and initiatives working to tight deadlines.
  • Capability to remain calm under pressure and manage a wide range of sometimes conflicting priorities.
  • Availability for constant travel.
  • Strong computer and IT literacy skills.
