R&D Compounds

We are seeking a highly skilled R&D Compounds & Materials Engineer to join our team in Italy.

As a key member of our R&D Material team, you will be responsible for managing research and development projects related to materials and compounds within our Italian Plants: Quattordio (production of compounds) and Merlino (production of Special cables).

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Identifying, developing, characterizing, and qualifying new materials to propose innovative solutions on the market and improve current products in terms of cost reduction and reliability.
• Acting as a material expert for internal and external sources, ensuring the management of raw materials and compounds necessary for cable production.
• Monitoring and improving manufacturing processes of compounds and their formulation to guarantee durability.
• Providing efficient assistance to the R&D Italy team, Supply chain department, production, procurement, and QHSE departments.
• Completing documentation management of materials, including product specifications, technical specifications, and compliance with REACH and RoHS regulations.

You will work closely with our Regional R&D Materials group to coordinate activities and ensure the successful execution of projects.

We are looking for a candidate with a Master's Degree in Chemical, Materials Engineering, or a related field, and at least 3 years of experience in a similar role. You should possess effective leadership and communication skills, be curious and willing to challenge the status quo, and have the ability to work independently in a complex matrix organization.
