Position Overview
As a key member of our dynamic and ambitious Analytics team in Italy, you will be instrumental in crafting analytical solutions that drive value for our clients and their customers.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience (minimum of 4-5 years) in executing analytical initiatives within the realms of credit risk management, fraud detection modeling, or marketing analytics. Familiarity with regulatory-driven analytics (such as AIRB, IFRS9) and/or expertise in developing machine learning models, particularly in credit and fraud risk contexts, will be highly advantageous.
Consultancy and Analytical Development
Lead and mentor a team of analytical professionals (including Junior Consultants and Analysts) in delivering robust analytical solutions tailored for various clients, predominantly in the financial services sector. This encompasses the creation of statistical models and conducting specialized data analyses. Take ownership of understanding project requirements and effectively communicate these to junior team members. Ensure project outputs are precise and align with the defined scope and objectives. Critically evaluate results through applied intelligence, translating findings into actionable insights and recommendations for clients. Present project outcomes to clients and senior members of the organization.Sales and Pre-sales Engagement
Engage in pre-sales and sales discussions with clients and prospects to articulate and position Experian's analytics offerings, customizing them to meet specific client needs.Project Coordination
Strategically plan, organize, and execute project tasks to fulfill team commitments within established timelines.Candidate Profile
The successful applicant will demonstrate:
A strong personal drive and commitment to achieving results. A degree in quantitative disciplines (e.g., mathematics, economics, statistics, engineering, physics). Advanced technical and analytical capabilities. Substantial experience in designing and implementing credit risk models. In-depth knowledge of statistical methodologies and their application in model development. Proficiency in one or more major statistical software packages (e.g., Python, SAS, WPS, SPSS, R). A proven track record (minimum of four years) in delivering complex analytical projects. Fluency in English, both written and spoken, with a working proficiency.Additional Skills and Experience
Previous experience with analytics on Big Data platforms (e.g., Cloudera, Databricks) and associated programming frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark) will be a plus. Experience with minimum capital regulations (i.e., Basel AIRB) and/or accounting regulations like IFRS 9, particularly as they relate to products and services similar to those offered by Experian. Experience in Marketing Analytics is also beneficial.Further Information
