Catalyst Expert

We are seeking a skilled Catalyst Expert to join our team in Europe and India. In this role, you will provide technical support to existing and potential customers, ensuring their catalyst-related questions or claims are satisfactorily answered.

• Ensure all customer technical questions or claims are satisfactorily answered, including issues regarding catalyst safe handling, use, or performance.
• Provide continuity of catalyst business at licensees after new plant start-ups by offering technical support for correct catalyst implementation and troubleshooting catalyst-related issues.
• Ensure success of new PP and PE catalyst trials by identifying necessary resources, technical information, and/or training to support customers.
• Act as a liaison between catalyst customers and other departments, such as Technology Business and R&D, to bridge knowledge gaps and ensure market pull influences technology programs.
• Collect information on competitors' catalysts, performance, and price through site visits and discussions with customers.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in polyolefin catalysts or process technologies.
• Fluency in English.

• Leadership skills, with the ability to motivate people toward common goals.
• Networking skills, with the ability to establish a wide network of contacts.
• Problem identification and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of LYB and third-party catalysts, processes, and product portfolios.
• Self-reliance and ability to work independently.
