Job Description

A challenging opportunity awaits a skilled Calibration Engineer to join our team at AVL Italia S.R.L. in Italy.

We are seeking an experienced professional to maintain engine, drivetrain components and vehicle data in various systems, define and execute test plans, and validate production tolerances.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance of engine and drivetrain components in appropriate systems.
  • Definition and execution of test plans in all required testing environments.
  • Robustness testing to validate production tolerances, fuel economy, and market-specific requirements.
  • Post-processing and analysis of measurement data using tools like AVL Concerto and Cameo.
  • Optimization of calibration parameters utilizing tools such as INCA and CRETA.
  • Documentation of changed calibration parameters in CRETA and measurement results according to defined development process.
  • Supporting the development of methodology and tools for calibration tasks.
  • Collaborating with project managers and logistics teams in engine, drivetrain, vehicle, and test facility planning and handling.
About You

We require a highly motivated and skilled individual with a strong background in mechanical engineering, electronics, thermodynamics, or a related field. Your expertise should include detailed technical understanding of combustion engines, transmission, and electric powertrains.

The ideal candidate will have experience with powertrain systems and interaction, electronic engineering, information technology, and control engineering. Familiarity with calibration tools such as INCA, Concerto, and DiagRa is also essential.

What We Offer:

A competitive salary range of €65,000 - €90,000 per annum, depending on your experience and qualifications.
