The Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled Data Scientist Staff Engineer I (Gen AI) to contribute to our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of business requirements, stakeholder management, and Gen AI-based solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Analyze business requirements to determine suitable Gen AI-based solutions
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the technical design of complex features
• Develop and fine-tune models through reproducible experiments
• Build Gen AI and ML solutions incorporating software engineering quality standards (SDLC) and data engineering best practices
• Prioritize tasks with autonomy based on requirements and proper context
• Contribute to the definition of the company tech strategy for Gen-AI
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Math, Computer Science or similar
• Previous experience developing Gen AI applications and fine-tuning models, with at least 10 years as Data Scientist NLP
• In-depth knowledge of LLM models architecture and fine-tuning techniques
• Excellent knowledge of programming languages, including advanced Python patterns
• Knowledge of software lifecycle practices (testing, release, deploy) and git-based workflows
• Ability to explain Gen-AI advantages and limitations to tech and non-technical audiences
• Good project management skills and good communication skill
• Languages: both Italian and English
