Responsibilities include examining patients, carrying out triage tasks, and communicating with physicians. The nurse will also assist in patient treatment, explain prescription information, and educate patients and their families about continued treatment at home.

Requirements:

  • NY license
  • 2 years of experience
  • BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Travel experience preferred

The emergency room travel nurse will work in a 14-bed ER with a nurse-patient ratio of 4:1. The nurse will use the T system for charting and will be responsible for identifying injuries, signs, and symptoms, and communicating their assessment to the physician.
