About This Job

\

A very important role within Avery Dennison Corporation. As an EHS Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing our company's environmental, health, and safety programs.

\

Your primary objective is to ensure a safe and healthy work environment for all employees and maintain compliance with all applicable regulations and Company policies.

\

This includes developing and implementing effective environmental, health, and safety programs, evaluating new technologies and processes to reduce workplace and operational hazards and environmental impacts, and organizing and controlling EHS functions to ensure an effective accident prevention program.

\

You will work closely with various departments to identify and mitigate potential risks and ensure regulatory compliance.

\

Key responsibilities include:

\
  • \
  • Implementing and integrating Company EHS programs and developing facility-specific procedures. \
  • Actively participating in the development of EHS program components, such as operational procedures, work instructions, training material, standards, etc. \
  • Developing and implementing facility-level EHS management systems. \
  • Integrating environmental, health, and safety management systems with engineering and program documentation and schedules. \
  • Compiling process safety information for each covered process. \
  • Using a structured processes scorecard to measure and communicate EHS performance. \
  • Tracking and regularly reporting the status of regulatory compliance and improvement initiatives. \
  • Using ELS methodology to drive continuous improvements in Environmental and Safety programs. \
  • Evaluating new environmental, health, and safety technologies and processes. \
  • Serving as a resource to the site manager regarding EHS matters. \
  • Assisting line and staff management in understanding EHS regulations and standards. \
  • Implementing environmental, health, and safety education and training. \
  • Managing Job Safety Analysis program and EHS PPE compliance program. \
  • Maintaining the integrated EHS management system. \
  • Maintaining each facility's compliance records for permits. \
  • Conducting periodic inspections of plant machinery, equipment, and working conditions. \
  • Ensuring that all modifications to existing processes go through a pre-safety start-up review, management of change, and a process hazard analysis. \
