Job Description

Field Energy is seeking a highly skilled Grid Connection Specialist to join our team in Spain. As a key member of our department, you will play a crucial role in the development and operation of our renewable infrastructure projects globally.

About the Role

  • Gather and analyze intelligence on existing and future electricity networks to inform the location and electrical characteristics of new developments.
  • Engage with REE and DNOs to obtain market-leading intelligence on connection availability.
  • Review transmission and distribution connection applications, working with OEMs to gather required information.
  • SUPervise application forms and associated documents for distribution network connection applications, including power system studies.
  • Support the grid connection process for our portfolio of developments through development and pre-construction phases.

Key Responsibilities

Grid Connection Process
  • Regularly meet with REE/DNOs to track progress with developments.
  • Submit modification applications and variations to DNO connection offers as required.
  • Oversee electrical/power system studies to assess fault rides through, voltage step change, and earthing design.
Project Support
  • Prepare handover documentation for construction teams.
  • Support due diligence activities on acquired projects from an electrical perspective.

Requirements

  • Experience with grid connections/power systems of DNO, TSO.
  • Technical expertise in electricity transmission/distribution, either system planning or commercial.
  • 3+ years in a technical role working on electricity projects, ideally including submission or review of grid connection applications.
