As a Principal Engineer IC Design Architect, you will play a crucial role in crafting tailored circuit solutions for Industrial and Automotive applications, aligning with both system specifications and customer needs. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Creating tailored circuit concepts for Industrial and Automotive applications, ensuring a strong emphasis on timely delivery.
  • Validating concepts through advanced behavioral modeling, facilitating thorough use-case analysis and robust product verification.
  • Designing analog/mixed signal circuit IP in accordance with established concepts and hardware requirements, addressing both testing and manufacturing considerations.
  • Collaborating with Layout Experts, Verification Engineers, and Test Development to prepare designs for mass production.
  • Debugging designed circuit IP in laboratory settings, leveraging your exceptional problem-solving capabilities.
  • Building strong relationships with Technical Marketing and Application Engineering teams to ensure outstanding support and engagement.
  • Driving innovation by generating groundbreaking circuit ideas and engaging in exciting innovation projects.
  • Conducting cutting-edge feasibility studies for new IPs, keeping us ahead of the competition.
  • Promoting continuous improvement through close collaboration across functions, maximizing our collective potential.
  • Sharing your expertise within the Infineon expert network, mentoring and coaching colleagues and students.

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • A university degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience, with a strong focus on analog and mixed signal chip design.
  • Proficiency in design and behavioral modeling tools such as Spectre, Avenue, or SystemC.
  • A background in Automotive and Functional Safety is a significant advantage.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Strong proficiency in English, with knowledge of Italian being a valuable asset.
