Housekeeping Specialist

Sonder is a hospitality company that offers a unique and personalized experience for its guests. We are looking for a skilled Housekeeping Specialist to join our team and help us maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hospitality in our properties.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in housekeeping and a strong attention to detail. They will be responsible for ensuring that all guest units are clean and well-maintained, and that all amenities and services are provided to our guests in a timely and efficient manner.

As a Housekeeping Specialist at Sonder, you will be part of a dynamic and fast-paced team that is dedicated to providing exceptional service to our guests. You will work closely with our operations team to ensure that all guest units are ready for occupancy, and that any issues or concerns are addressed promptly and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Perform housekeeping duties, including cleaning bathrooms, kitchens, living spaces, and other areas of the guest unit
• Restock apartments with soaps, shampoos, and other amenities
• Ensure all furniture, appliances, and amenities are clean and in working order
• Realign furniture and amenities according to prescribed layout
• Ensure lobbies, office spaces, guest hallways, elevators, fitness centers, public restrooms, parking garages, stairwells, and back-of-house areas are cleaned to Sonder standards
• Perform deep cleaning tasks as assigned
• Restock housekeeping carts/closets with linens, terry, and consumables in preparation for next day
• Ensure confidentiality and security of guest rooms
• Gather necessary cleaning supplies and linen from a distributed or central location
• Travel to locations distributed throughout the city
• Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, security issues, or damage of Sonder property
• Use a mobile application or technology, smartphone/device required
• Return supplies and equipment to a distributed or central location
• Conduct special cleaning projects as assigned

Requirements:

• Previous housekeeping experience
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Knowledge of a wide variety of sanitation products, cleaning techniques, and methods
• Working knowledge of operating cleaning equipment
• Physical stamina and mobility, including ability to reach, kneel, and bend
• Flexible schedule and open to working evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to lift/carry items up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods of time
