Job Summary

Villanova University is seeking a highly skilled IT Support Specialist to join our team in the Telecommunications Services department. As an IT Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in maintaining the university's voice and data network, ensuring seamless communication and connectivity for our students, faculty, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the maintenance and troubleshooting of the university's voice and data network.
  • Manage inventory of telecommunications equipment and ensure proper deployment.
  • Respond to and resolve daily tickets and tasks related to network issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the department.
Requirements
  • Enrollment as a student at Villanova University with 1 year of previous relevant experience or relevant coursework.
  • Basic understanding of computer networks and telecommunications.
  • Willingness to complete necessary training and certifications.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills.
Working Conditions

This is a part-time position with a maximum of 20 hours per week. The work schedule will be Monday through Thursday, with hours between 9am and 5pm. The position is open to all students, with a preference for those with work-study eligibility.

What We Offer

Villanova University offers a competitive hourly wage of $13.00 per hour. We also provide opportunities for professional development and growth within the department.
