Join Aliaxis as an Engineering Project Manager

At Aliaxis, we provide innovative plastic piping systems, valves, and fittings across the globe. Our mission is to shape a better tomorrow by connecting people with water and energy.

We seek a talented Engineering Project Manager to join our team in Italy. This role will be based in Aliaxis Zola Predosa (BO) and report to the Engineering Manager Italy.

The ideal candidate will manage a portfolio of CAPEX projects for the development of different sites, ensuring delivery quality and alignment with internal customers (Manufacturing / Supply chain / Administration). The candidate will work closely with external parties (engineering services and suppliers).

Key Responsibilities

  • Project management along the full life cycle.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within scope and budget.
  • Define project scopes and objectives, involving stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
  • Develop Cost & Schedule Estimate.
  • Develop a detailed project plan to schedule key project milestones, workstreams & activities and to track progress.
  • Ensure flawless project execution through direct supervision and/or coordination of third parties/vendors.
  • Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables.
  • Frequent project updates to SteerCo and stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including technical specifications.

Required Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Bachelor's/master's degree in mechanical, industrial, or management engineering.
  • 5+ years of solid experience in similar roles, proven record of experience in industrial manufacturing environments.
  • Experience with coordinating and leading capex projects in production/manufacturing environments (Project Management), through the full life cycle.
  • Previous experience in the plastic industry and/or extrusion or injection moulding process is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills, able to understand company processes.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, team player, ability to convince and persuade, and conflict resolution aptitude.
  • Good communication skills, local language, and English are a must.
  • Strong organizational skills, including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
  • Solid MS Office skills.
  • CAD professional knowledge and skills will be considered a plus.
  • Strong software skills and ability to understand, analyse, and present data.
  • Availability to travel to different Italian sites where projects are under development and/or execution is a must.
