Job Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • MS or PhD in Computational Science, Bioinformatics or equivalent;
  • +2 years' experience in analysis of high-throughput sequencing data and setting up their computational workflows based on workflow languages (i.e. Cosmos, Nextflow) and software containers (i.e. singularity, dockers);
  • Proficient in Python, bash scripting, Linux environment;
  • Excellent computational skills, particularly regarding High-Performance Computing;
  • Experience with AWS (Amazon Web Services) is a plus;
  • High degree of analytical and organizational skills;
  • Strong communication (verbal and written), presentation and interpersonal skills. Fluent in English and Italian;
  • Willingness and ability to take on additional responsibilities and undertake challenging tasks and/or projects;
  • Strong leadership skills and proactivity with clear understanding of the balance of innovation, smart risks and timely project delivery.
