Job Introduction

Serco, a leading Space Services Provider, is seeking an experienced Validation Engineer to join its international team in Frascati, Rome. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for the integration and verification of new evolutions of data processing software for the BIOMASS satellite mission.

Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze software technical notes.
  • Conduct requirements analysis and ensure traceability to test cases and procedures.
  • Prepare test documentation and review unit testing activities.
  • Accept and evaluate software components.
  • Execute and analyze tests.
  • Collaborate with the Development team to resolve software issues.
  • Maintain technical documentation.
Requirements
  • Engineering degree (or similar) and at least 3 years' experience in system integration, validation, and verification.
  • Software engineering experience.
  • Good experience with Linux, Unix, and shell scripting.
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of issue tracking systems and code version control systems.
  • Knowledge of the ECSS standard.
  • Problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
  • Ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient in the English language.
