Job SummaryThe After Sales Engineer is a critical role responsible for ensuring the technical compliance of spare parts and service projects, both internally and as the primary technical interface with customers. This position involves managing technical challenges, providing technical support, and troubleshooting product failures, all while maintaining a strong focus on project success and company reputation.
Key Responsibilities- Technical Support: Provide expert technical guidance and support to customers during equipment installation, commissioning, and operational phases, addressing product performance and maintenance inquiries.
- Project Team Management: Oversee the technical completeness and compliance of spare parts and site services, ensuring all work meets project specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements.
- Troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis: Lead initial troubleshooting efforts and conduct technical root cause analysis on equipment failures, suggesting solutions to minimize product downtime and prevent recurrence.
- Client Liaison: Serve as the technical interface, managing customer expectations and ensuring technical standards are met.
- Documentation and Reporting: Prepare detailed reports, technical investigations, and service records, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
- Quality Assurance: Collaborate with quality and engineering teams to address technical issues related to product defects or quality concerns, recommending corrective actions.
- Training and Knowledge Sharing: Assist clients with product training, educating them on proper use, maintenance, and troubleshooting procedures for relevant valves and equipment.
- Continuous Improvement: Provide feedback to design and manufacturing teams regarding product performance and potential areas for improvement, contributing to the continuous improvement of products and services.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
- Fluent English language skills.
- Proficiency in CAD software and tools for analytical calculation and stress analysis.
- Knowledge of materials properties and related specifications.
- Root Cause Analysis methods (8D, Ishikawa Diagram, etc.).
- Principles of Project Management.
Additionally, you should possess:
- Accuracy, proactivity, flexibility, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
- Effective communication, persuasion, and authoritativeness.
- A commitment to product/service improvement.
