Job Overview

The Assistant Director of People and Culture will be responsible for leading the People and Culture division at Four Seasons Hotels Ltd. This individual will oversee all aspects of the Human Resources function, including benefits administration, employee relations, recruitment, and retention of staff, career development, and wage & hour compliance.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in human resources, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to drive a culture of care for all employees. They will also have a deep understanding of labor laws and regulations and be able to navigate complex HR issues.


Responsibilities
  • Direct the People and Culture division to achieve strategic goals and objectives
  • Develop and implement HR strategies to support business objectives
  • Oversee benefits administration, employee relations, recruitment, and retention of staff, career development, and wage & hour compliance
  • Provide guidance and support to employees on HR-related matters
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations

Requirements
  1. College degree preferred in Human Resources Management, Business Management, or equivalent experience required
  2. Minimum 3 years' experience in a related position is required. First-time Assistant Director of People and Culture candidates will not be considered
  3. Experience in luxury hospitality is preferred
  4. High level of attention to detail
  5. Imperative to work in a fast-paced, high expectation environment
  6. Ability to attract and recruit new, dynamic talent to Four Seasons who compliment the vision of the resort
  7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  8. Ability to create professional and effective visual communication
  9. Strong organizational and project management ability
  10. High level of emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills
  11. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office
  12. Ability to react and adjust to changing business environments while implementing efficient workflow processes
  13. Experience with HRIS systems; WorkDay preferred
  14. Knowledge of labor laws: Local, State and Federal
  15. Critical thinking and decision-making skills
