NLP Researcher in Democratic Discourse

Fondazione Bruno Kessler is a research center dedicated to advancing knowledge and innovation in the field of digital technology.

We are seeking a Junior Researcher to join our Digital Humanities Research Unit, focusing on NLP applied to political discourse.

• Contribute to the creation of multilingual corpora from legal, parliamentary, and social media sources.
• Implement NLP tools to analyze these corpora, identifying topics, stance, reactions, and other relevant aspects connected to democratic debate.

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Computational Linguistics, Software Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or similar.
• Experience with machine learning experiments, programming skills (preferably Python), and knowledge of LLMs for generation and classification tasks.
• Self-motivation, result orientation, good communication and relational skills, flexibility, adaptability, and ability to work independently.

• A competitive gross annual salary of €36,250.
• A full-time contract (38 hours/week) with a duration of 24 months.
